ABOUT US
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
— Mohandas Gandhi
The mission of Shelby Shelter Non-Profit is in its name. Shelby means "a place where willows grow". The willow tree is the symbol of healing and new life. Shelby Shelter hopes to provide just that to animals in need. Our goal is to save and find permanent homes to animals of all sizes.

Community Resources
As a pet owner there are times you will want information for your pet.
Our Directory and resources are designed to help all shelter animals, the people who take care of them, and the future adopters who will call them family.

Adoption / Foster

- A current photo ID (driver’s license or state ID card) is required to process an application.

- To provide permanent identification, all dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, receive a microchip implant.
